Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data SET UP A collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have under UK data protection law.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, the business you want to set up, whether you already operate a business, your intended launch timeframe, the help you need and any message you write.

We also record technical information about how you reached the site, including the page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign parameters in the URL. This is used to understand which channels produce enquiries.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to identify the services and partner categories relevant to what you want to set up, and to improve the guidance published on the site.

Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit an enquiry, and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the platform.

Who we share it with

Where you ask for an introduction, or where an introduction is the natural response to your enquiry, we share the relevant details with the partner concerned so they can contact you. We tell you who that is.

We also use service providers for hosting, email and analytics. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep proper business records, and are then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@setupa.co.uk and we will respond.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

This document will be finalised with registered company details, a registered office address and an ICO registration reference once those are confirmed. It is published now so the site's legal framework is transparent from launch.
